Day 1:  MON - THU – FRI, HOUEISAY / PAKBENG / LUANGSAY LODGE

The Pak Ou boat leaves HoueiSay pier at 09h00 and cruises down the Mekong to Pakbeng. Stop en route to discover a traditional Yao or Lu villages and observe the rural life along the Mekong river. Lunch on board. Arrive Pakbeng before sunset and check-in at Luangsay Lodge Dinner on the terrace overlooking the Mekong River. Overnight at Luangsay Lodge

Day 2: TUE - FRI – SAT, LUANGSAY LODGE / PAKBENG / PAK OU / LUANG PRABANG

Full breakfast at hotel. Optional walk to Pakbeng market, where people from the surrounding hill-tribe villages barter forest products. 09h00 board Pak Ou boat for the second leg of the cruise. Lunch on board.

Then short stop to explore a Hmong village. Continue to Pak Ou village at the mouth of the Nam Ou river and visit Tam Ting, caves of a 1000 Buddha. On the way to Luang Prabang, brief stop to observe the traditional methods of making local rice alcohol. Arrive Luang Prabang before sunset

Day 1: TUE -WED – SAT, LUANG PRABANG / PAK OU / PAKBENG / LUANGSAY LODGE

The Pak Ou boat leaves Luang Prabang pier at 07h30 and cruises up the Mekong to Pakbeng. Brief stop to observe traditional process to obtain local rice alcohol and continue to Pak Ou at the mouth of the Nam ou river to visit Tam Ting, caves of a 1000 Buddha. Lunch on board. Arrive Pakbeng before sunset and check-in at Luangsay Lodge.Dinner on the terrace by overlooking the Mekong river. Overnight at Luangsay Lodge.

Day 2:  WED -THU – SUN, LUANGSAY LODGE / PAKBENG / HOUEISAY

Full breakfast at hotel, 08h00 board the Pak Ou boat for the second leg of the cruise. Observe the rural life along the Mekong with stop, en route at the village of Yao. Lunch on board. Continue navigating to HoueiSay for arrival around 16h00 (then continue to Thailand - Chiang Rai province ).

Pak Ou II and III : 32m steel hull with traditional design -   400HP engine - total  seating capacity of 40 + sun deck – 1 kitchen - 1 bar - 1 toilet - safety and fire equipments.

LUANGSAY  LODGE

+     Built along the Mekong River, 1 km from Pakbeng Village half way between HoueiSay and Luang Prabang.

+      The construction is of tropical hardwood in the Lao traditional style and decoration - 19 rooms + restaurant, bar and central terrace linked by gangways.
